Creating tiled Postagrams with Tile-R

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOfdRqlGEC0

We are always looking for cool new things to do with Postagram cards, which is why we were stoked to find this weird little app called Tile-R (iTunes). Tile-R allows you to take any image on your iPhone and break it up into multiple images from a grid. You can then take these images and mail them off as multiple Postagrams that form a larger image.

For extra cool effects, try running each of these tiled images through other apps, like Decim8 or AutoPainter, to create more impressionistic final images.

  1. Took your advice and downloaded Tile-r. What a waste of a dollar. Everytime it says it can’t save image. Last time I listen to your faulty advice.

  2. Hi Jay, Doc, et alMy name is Tony Breski and I am the author of the TILE-R app.I’ve been made aware of the bug that Jay has pointed out and a fix is due out any day soon in the iTunes store. If you have the app, it will appear as an update hopefully within the next week (it’s Tuesday 20th today).I’ve had other suggestions on features that some folks would like added and so will look to include those in future updates.

  3. Not a bad question, I usually work with square images to start with, so any amount of dividing should work fine (i.e. 2X2 or 3X3 etc).If you are wanting to do a shot as it appears on you camera, I believe you’ll need a 2×3 ratio, but I’m not sure. Try that out and let me know if it answers your question. Thanks!

  4. Hello again folks. The update has hit the store today and this should resolve the UNABLE TO SAVE issue. If you do still continue to have issues, please let me know and I will work to resolve it as fast as I can.Regards,Tony B
